We’d like to turn you on to the shows we’re hoping to attend, so that maybe you’ll check out an artist new to you, or reconnect with an old favorite. Barring our correspondents’ loss of consciousness or forced ejection, you can look forward to reviews of these shows:

Los Lobos, Chris Thomas King Band, Kerry Pastine and the Crime Scene, Grant Sabin and The Juke Joint Highball – Blues Under the Bridge, Colorado Springs, CO 7/7/18- Arguably the best touring band in America, the guys from East L.A. headline the flatbed trailer stage under shelter of the Colorado Avenue Bridge. The only venue where passing freight trains come within arm’s reach of the drum kit.

Tedeschi-Trucks Band and Drive-By Truckers– Red Rocks Amphitheater, Morrison,  CO 7/29/18- The two heavyweight live show legends collide at the most beautiful outdoor venue on the planet. Look for band members to cross-pollinate during both sets, providing memorable collaborations. And for Susan Tedeschi to cover a Derek and the Dominoes tune!

Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton– Fiddler’s Green , Denver, CO 8/4/18- A gathering of the hippie and rocker tribes from  the 70s at this oasis of green amidst the Denver Tech Center. No need to  sit up close; your memory of what these guys looked like back then is preferable. GA seating on the lawn is the ticket here!
